National Dialogue on "Rapid Drought Risk and Resilience Assessment in Central Asia"

  Today, on May 28, 2026, a national dialogue titled "Rapid Drought Risk and Resilience Assessment in Central Asia" is taking place at the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. The event is being held as part of the 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development" 2018–2028, and the Central Asia Water and Energy Program (CAWEP), with the support of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and the World Bank.

Scientific Seminar with the IAEA

  On June 2, 2026, the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan hosted a scientific seminar titled "Expanding Cooperation with the IAEA in the Development and Application of Modern Technologies in the Field of Water Quality."

The seminar featured presentations by IAEA representatives Yulia Vystavnaya and Professor Frédéric Huneau (University of Corsica, France), as well as institute researchers Firdavs Shaymuradov and Anvar Qodirov.

Forum "The NEXUS Approach in Central Asia — Science, Policy and Practice" at the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan

  On May 25, 2026, as part of the 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development" 2018–2028, the Institute of Water Problems, Hydropower and Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan is hosting the Forum "The NEXUS Approach in Central Asia — Science, Policy and Practice".
